This combines Monitor LP MF/MFS 380 "Rambin' Jack Elliott Sings Woody Guthrie And Jimmie Rodgers" and Monitor MF 379 "Jack Elliott: Ramblin' Cowboy." The accompaniment on the six Rodgers songs is provided by clarinetist Sandy Brown and trumpeter Al Fairweather.

Jack's premier band-backed release features him forefront of enviable country string band variations. Jazz inflected injected Jimmy Rodgers rolls on through classic, if not classy, country humor.
