Another person who taught me about guitar was Ramblin' Jack Elliott.

As a headline member of the infamous Rolling Thunder Review tour, hootenanny style, Jack was amongst those who blew into Toronto in 1976. The thought was flown that Lightfoot should join their December 1st & 2nd shows at the Maple Leaf Gardens.


"They gave me a buzz when they got to town, to come down and do a few tunes and that's just what we're gonna do." Lightfoot said he felt honored to be included.

After the Rolling Thunder Review I had an open house and about 80 showed up. Allen Ginsberg, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Joni Mitchell and quite a few others were there.
